This is the initial concept given to our lovely Bride and groom to be, 

whom are to be married at Thrumpton Hall, Nottinghamshire.

The initial brief is create a California 'outdoor' back drop,

complete with Rose Petals, flowers Galore and whimsical lighting! 

It is important as a bride to be, to create mood boards such as these... 

you can certainly have fun making them ... these will only form 

a small part of the final day - but you will see how your ideas 

evolve and how something so simple

 can be transformed further along the line... 

I challenge you to send me your own thoughts and ideas...

We will upload some of the very best over the next coming months ... 

We will also create our own to go with yours 

to hopefully inspire you too...

as a 'Thank You' for sending them in!

checklist, I thought I would share a few mood boards with you.

Autumn says of course earthy tones, such as Browns, Creams and Greens!

Try bringing in Tangerine, Pinks and Reds for a more vibrant and oh so now look ...

Inspiration...

Just want to share with you my personal horror! 

Having just returned from my holiday 

and the inspiration of being an 'Avid' fan of NBC's Biggest Loser!!! 

... I have taken the plunge and have hired a Personal Trainer!

I can't believe we pay for pain! 

Oh my gawd!!! my bum is num, and all I want to do is crawl in to bed ... 

I have 115 chairs to cover and swag tomorrow ... yikes ... 

The reason I am telling you this is I hired one for my big day - 

and it really worked! :-) 

It does not have to be the expense people think 

and it can really motivate you to stick to a regime 

and lose those stubborn pounds that simply won't shift! 

I thought I would share my wedding picture with you...

Tanya and Martin Aug 25th 2008 The Priest House

We recently assisted Tanya and Martin with their Wedding Plans.
They got married at the beautiful venue ' The Priest House' in Castle Donington, Derbyshire.
It was a glorious Bank Holiday Monday and the sun was shining ... (which makes a change!)

The colour scheme was Pinks and every shade of it,

Tanya looked stunning and radiant and the men looked rather 'Dapper' too in Ivory suits
supplied by Slaters of Nottingham.

The flowers were wonderful and as always Zinc Floral Design impressed the Tillyboo team with there sense of style!

Caroline and Steve are married with help from Tillyboo Events!

Hi Sarah 

We just wanted to say a big thank you for all you did to make our day run so smoothly.

All the little extra touches were really appreciated and 

so many guest commented on how beautiful the venue was decorated.

I can't tell you how glad we are that we followed your recommendations

and used Ali for the makeup and Crash for the photos. 

They were brilliant - have a look on our slideshow - 

I am watching it at least seven times a day! 

Anyway thanks again.

Caroline and Stevex

We would just like to say a huge congratulations to Caroline and Steve whom got married on Saturday!
It was such a pleasure to work with them and the day went beautifully,
we even had the glorious sunshine we had hoped for...

The brief was casual and informal and we managed to achieve that with a delicious afternoon tea,
Complete with homemade scones, fresh creams, cakes galore
and cucumber ribbon petite sandwiches
courtesy of Des Sweeney at Woodborough Hall.

With Jugs of Beers, Pims and champagne flowing ...
the atmosphere was relaxed ...
Garden games, Lanterns and a beautifully decorated venue complete
with swags and runners and candlelight completed the look.
The day was fabulous!!!

Modern Romance for June 2009

One of our brides to be, Claire, made this fantastic mood board. She and future husband Steve are getting married in a historic venue and said "I don’t feel that a modern theme will look right - so we’re thinking modern romantic now!!! I’ve also tried to add in a bit of colour as browns and creams seemed a bit too neutral. The stripes are a theme that will run throughout the invitations which is why I’ve included them on the mood board." Gorgeous!!!

The theme is Creams, Golds and Ivory ...

The setting a beautiful shabby chic vintage country garden... 

I imagine, lots of candles and twinkly lights, lace, pearls, rich brocade papers ...

These inspiration boards will help with setting the scene

 and making those oh so important decisions...

It does not matter at the beginning that the boards

 reflect the colours we will be working with... 

Its just about painting wonderful pictures and then streamlining

 these ideas through the numerous stages. 

Tillyboo Events will be helping Samantha bring her ideas to life 

and watch out as the theme develops...

Dear Sarah

Just wanted to thank you enormously for making our wedding day

You did a great job from start to finish and I felt completely supported

The Tillyboo Team have been soooo busy..... lots of exciting news to talk about .... check out the blog from next Monday (21st) to find out more ....... hence the reason we have delayed our blogs recently.
Never fear Tillyboo are here and we are back on a mission to create lots of dreams for you 2008 brides.

Todays inspirational board is a pure classic and I have produced this for a lovely July couple....
It's funny how by simply exchanging one neutral for another i.e Grey for Navy or one accent color Pink for Yellow, you can achieve such different looks.

The darker color grounds the palette and creates a sense of order, while the accent color adds a wisp of personality.

Vey chic but fun inspirational board and great for that summer wedding with young vitality.....
